I am an American acting and dialect coach based in Rome. I’m from Chicago and speak fluent German and Italian. In 2017 I trained in Los Angeles with Ivana Chubbuck and am a certified teacher of the Chubbuck Technique.
Both as an acting and as a dialect coach I prepare actors for auditions or for international projects they have a role in.
I’ve prepared Italian, French, German, Spanish, Romanian, Bosnian and Russian actors. I coach actors on a one-to-one basis and among those I’ve worked with are: Cecile De France, Cristian De Sica, Giuseppe Cederna, Javier Cámara, Lubna Azabal, Sara Serraiocco and Silvio Orlando.
I also offer ongoing acting classes and workshops in Rome that focus on scene and audition preparation in both English and Italian: “Acting & Auditioning with the Chubbuck Technique”.
Some of the international film/TV projects I’ve worked on are: THE LEISURE SEEKER directed by Paolo Virzì, in post production; THE YOUNG POPE, directed by the 2014 Academy Award winner Paolo Sorrentino, I prepared on and off set Silvio Orlando for his co-starring role in the HBO/SKY TV series; GRAIN directed by the Turkish film director and the 2010 Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear Award winner Semih Kaplanoglu, I prepared the film’s international cast: Ermin Bravo, Lubna Azabal, Grigory Dobrygin, Cristina Flutur.
In the past I also worked at the FBI CASTING as Beatrice Kruger’s casting assistant on the casting of Rob Marshall’s NINE, Andre Corbijn’s THE AMERICAN and Woody Allen’s TO ROME WITH LOVE.
As a dialect coach I not only worked individually with actors but also held workshops in “Acting and Auditioning in English” in Rome, Paris and Berlin. In Rome, among the places I held these workshops were the National School of Cinema (CSC) and the Center for Professional Theatre Formation (CAFT).
As a young actress, I studied acting for 4 years in Berlin at the UdK (University of the Arts). I then moved to Rome and worked as an actress in theatre and film with such directors as Gabriele Salvatores, Mario Monicelli and Martin Scorsese.
